Honoring Choices Pacific Northwest, a joint initiative between the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) and the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) Foundation, continues to lead the region in robust advance care planning and end-of-life care resources for physicians, health care teams, patients and their loved ones. Inspiring conversations about the care people want if they are seriously ill or at the end of life, Honoring Choices PNW supports health care organizations in delivering patient-centered care. Honoring Choices PNW’s vision is that everyone will receive care that honors personal values and goals at the end of life.

Cuando el padre viejo de Bob, Denise y Maggie recibe un diagnostíco de cancer terminal, les encourage a preparer su plan para los últimos días de vida para que no haya malentendidos de lo que quiere y no queire de cuidado médico.Pero, Bob no quiere crear un plan a pesar del aliento de su doctor. When Bob, Denise and Maggie’s elderly father, receives his terminal cancer diagnosis, they encourage him to prepare his end-of-life plan so there’s no misunderstanding of what he wants or doesn’t want. But Bob is not having any part of it even though his doctor is encouraging him to prepare. Throw in some family dynamics, disagreements and resentments, plus a healthy dose of stubbornness, and the scene changes dramatically when Bob is hospitalized.
